The DGT serial tournament e-Boards have serial connections and can be connected together for a tournament set-up. These tournament e-Boards connect to the computer using cables or the DGT Caïssa System. They are available in Walnut, Rosewood or Wengé and can be used in combination with all five different types of DGT electronic chess pieces sets.
Serial tournament e-Boards are used at Chess Olympiads, World Chess Championships and all major chess tournaments around the world. Also many smaller tournaments use the boards to show games live on their tournament website. Showing live games attracts more visitors and makes it easier to find sponsors.
Free DGT LiveChess software is used to manage the e-Boards and arrange live transmission of games in real time via the internet. Additional software packages are available for live streaming of video and tournament presentation.
Since November 2012 the tournament e-Boards are standard supplied in a custom made e-Board Storage Bag.
