Op zaterdag 31 maart a.s. zal ronde 8 van de KNSB competitie worden gespeeld. Bij DGT zullen dan ESGOO1 en ESGOO2 hun wedstrijden spelen. ESGOO1 speelt tegen En Passant. En dat wordt de wedstrijd om het kampioenschap van groep 1A en de promotie naar de Meesterklasse volgend seizoen! En Passant staat eerste, ESGOO1 tweede. Beide hebben evenveel matchpunten, maar En Passant (uit Bunschoten-Spakenburg) heeft veel meer bordpunten. De verwachting is dat En Passant in een zo sterk mogelijke opstelling met meerdere grootmeesters en internationaal meesters uit de Nederlandse top ESGOO1 zal willen verslaan.

In groep 3B krijgt ESGOO2 UVS2 uit Nijmegen op bezoek. Ook UVS2 zal proberen te winnen, niet om kampioen te worden maar om degradatie te ontlopen.

Het beloofd een spannende middag te worden op het kantoor van DGT in Enschede. Iedereen mag komen kijken, entree is gratis. Er wordt boven gespeeld, in de grote zaal. Beide wedstrijden worden ook live uitgezonden via de website: ESGOO1 - En Passant via Live 1 en ESGOO2 - UVS2 via Live 2.

On Saturday March 31st round 8 op the National Team Competitions of the KNSB will be played. At the DGT office the teams of ESGOO1 and ESGOO2 play their matches. ESGOO1 plays against En Passant. And this match will decide the championship in group 1A and the promotion to the Meesterklasse (Master Group) next season! En Passant is first, ESGOO1 second. Both have equal match points, but En Passant (from Bunschoten-Spakenburg) has many more board points. The expectation is that En Passant with their best as possible team, including GMs and IMs from the top of Dutch Chess to beat ESGOO1.

ESGOO2 plays against UVS2 from Nijmegen in group 3B. Also UVS2 will try to win. Not to become champion, but to prevent relegation to the regional league.

It will be an afternoon full of tension and suspension at the DGT office. Everybody is welcome, entrance is free. The games take place in the ChessLab upstairs. Both games will be broadcasted live throught the website: ESGOO1 - En Passant via Live 1 and ESGOO2 - UVS2 via Live 2.
